Quartet Day

The Attacca String Quartet will be presenting a workshop for advanced junior high and high school students who play at a strong NYSSMA level 4 of higher. The Attacca will coach each group and at the end of the day there will be a concert open to family and friends.
Students may register with a pre-formed Quartet or as individuals.
Pre-formed quartets will have thoroughly prepared a quartet for which they would like to be coached. The quartet will supply their music and a score for the coaches.
If a student is not part of a group, he/she may come as an individual. The individual players will thoroughly prepare a quartet to be assigned. Music will be given to school music teachers to distribute. (If you are not in a school orchestra, please contact us at rhinbeckchambermusic@gmail.com for music.) Students who register as individuals will be put into quartets upon arrival at Quartet Day.
In addition to having time with the Attacca Quartet, students will have a chance to see how this exciting young group rehearses and works on a new piece of music.
Registration fees are $10 per student. The cost of the program will include a pizza dinner. Registration must be complete by October 8, 2008. You may click here to download the registration form or you may obtain one from your school orchestra teacher.
